Job Summary
Plan, design and implement appropriate risk management framework or processes in consultation with JSC Management and Client. Analyse risks, identify, describe, and estimate the risks and threats affecting projects, other strategic and operational areas of the client.Act as secondary between the JSC and the client towards ensuring effective management of various risk factors in the perimeters of the client. Develop & Implement Security Risk Policy consistent with applicable legislation and guidelines and the client related to the diversity of operations and ensure that resources are available to implement the policy. Implement special security projects as directed by JSC CEO from time to time. Develop an effective communication strategy/mechanism to create a culture of security risk awareness within Nutec.Plan and implement Technical Surveillance countermeasures (TSCM). Conduct periodic appraisals of the security arrangements at the client and implement corrective measures where necessary.Provide support in defining appropriate support services for assessing and monitoring risks associated with functionally regulated activities to enable compliance with the security regulatory framework relevant to the client. Implementation of internal & external security audit recommendations. Market the security risk mandate and its functions at a strategic level to JSC Management. Conduct Intelligence/Security Risk awareness programmes throughout the facilities of the clientEvaluating security risks and providing advice to mitigate security risks associated with projects and related operational activities to ensure cost effectiveness and alignment with set budget parameters. Perspective Customer Key Result Areas Responsibilities Stakeholder Relationship Management Provide Strategic briefings and advice to JSC and client management.Liaise with related statutory entities. Develop and sustain relations between client and key institutions of government, parastatals, and private companies within the parameters of safety and security services. Security risk reporting in an appropriate way for various audiences. Ensure understanding of corporate governance issues involving external and internal security risks and reporting to management. Provide Security and safety Intelligence reports. Carry out security risk assessment processes.Monitoring Health and Safety measures to ensure business continuity plans which limit security risks. Conducting or assisting in audit of security policy and compliance standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors. Providing support, education, and training to staff to build security risk awareness between JSC and client employees. Evaluate security risk together with relevant business units to compare estimated risks with set criteria such as costs, legal requirements and environmental factors and evaluating previous risk handling within the client facility. Monitor service delivery standards within the context of security services.Maintain the safety, security, and control of the site Maintain communication with the vehicle crew during pick-up and delivery of liabilityMaintain radio communication with the branch and/or dispatch personnelReport all faults experienced during the days activityEnsure overall cleanliness of the Control RoomAble to work weekends, holidays and/or extended hoursCross-train and perform other duties as assignedRemain alert and always prepared, not only protecting the crew or premises against attack, but also watching for accidents that could result in a lossAlways maintain utmost integrity and honestyRespond to phone, email, voice mail, verbal, and written work orders. Issue and track work orders and work closely with team to assure timely resolution of service issues.Oversee issuing, assigning of access rights for access control cards or key fobs and decommissioning of access control cards.Maintain appropriate records as required.Perform any other related duties as assigned or instructed.Monitor corporate security systems- including but not limited to the access control and CCTV systemsReceive notifications of security incidents and issues from all corporate personnelRelay notifications of incidents, issues etc. to the appropriate leadership positions (JSC Management and Client)Interface with base building security officers to coordinate incident responsesDispatch security officers to investigate alarms and respond to incidents, escalate as procedure states and to the best of own judgementNotify emergency services when external response is required; coordinate with corporate security to ensure services have immediate access to the spaceMonitor the performance of security system elements and report deficiencies to JSC managementTrack the location and activities of all guards assigned to their shiftApply the appropriate professionalism, maturity, and tact to manage incidentsAdhere to and always promote the clients and JSC policies and proceduresCommunicate concerns, process improvement ideas or other opportunities for improvement to the team.Management of Technical staff and related dutiesManagement of Control room and related dutiesEnsure monthly reports are submitted timeously
