Job Summary

We, Sagen Advisory, are recruiting several Financial Planners for a rapidly expanding wealth management business with a reputation for excellence. These exciting and lucrative positions are based in their head office in Durbanville, Stellenbosch. They are also in the process of expanding across the country.

The company will allow you to either build your own client base or invest in your current client base. Though new client acquisition will be an integral part of this role, the client will provide clients with service from the start.

The ideal candidate will be a financial/commercially qualified graduate, a junior financial planner, or an experienced financial planner who is seeking to join a customer-focused expanding business. The ideal candidate will also be someone who wants to build a career in the wealth management environment, who is customer-focused, service-orientated, and who is sales-driven.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and meeting potential clients
• Analyse financial information obtained from clients to determine strategies, design products, and recommend solutions to help clients meet their financial objectives with regard to personal wealth portfolios, retirement planning, insurance, estate planning, etc.
• Completing client risk analysis.
• Reviewing and responding to clients` changing needs and financial circumstances by creating and implementing an ongoing service plan to ensure client portfolios are regularly monitored and relevant modifications are timeously executed.
• Protect, secure, and grow clients` wealth by providing independent, expert financial advice, retirement planning, estate planning, and tax planning.
• Providing investment opportunities across a broad spectrum of regulated products.
• Monitor financial market trends to ensure that plans are effective, and to identify any necessary updates.

Requirements

• Tertiary Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly desirable.
• Financial Planning Qualifications RE5, RE1, CISI, CFP, NQF5, etc. will be beneficial, but not essential.
• 4 years of industry experience Finance, Financial planning, or Wealth Management experience.
• Personality Customer-centric & results-driven.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• 26+ years of age.
• Clear credit record, with no criminal record.
• Valid drivers license (compulsory).
• Own reliable transport (compulsory).

Further to meeting all the minimum requirements, the following criteria would be essential:

• Entrepreneurial mindset (must be able to work independently).
• Exceptional Interpersonal skills.
• An established network of clients and the ability to prospect for new business.
• Sales ability.
• Tenacity.
• Effective planning, organizing, and time management skills.
• Computer literacy.

• Can apply to become a cluster manager if you bring a team of 5 with you

Salary

• Training support remuneration over 2-3 months.
• 30% per submission fee on Referrals to Lucrum for Tax Submissions
• 30% Recurring Passive Income on Employee Benefits -, Medical Aid -, and Short-Term referrals.
• 50% Recurring Passive Income on all Independent Referrals (any Business signed under SFG IB)
• Vesting Bonuses: Earn up to 3x policy premium value on top of the commission.
• Highly lucrative 100% commission-only earnings.
