Job Summary
Fire System Design Engineer is Required by a Manufacturing Company in CenturionResponsible for the design of fire protection (detection and suppression) systems.Conduct risk assessment and determine scope definitionApply codes / standards / specifications to ensure systems and products are aligned to accepted fire protection standards and legislationReview existing client documentation to provide solutions.Generate the following documentation for projects according to project requirements:-Preliminary and/or detailed designs -Calculations – BOM-Reporting -OEM ManualProvide technical support for internal departments on various projects Provide technical support to clients as and when requiredProvide field support as and when requiredProvide commissioning supportUse of hydraulic simulation software (Pipe flow or similar) Use of drawing programs (AutoCAD, Inventor or similar)Use of VisioKnowledge of relevant codes and standards:-NFPA-FM-SANS-ASIB-Client Fire Standards (Anglo, Eskom, etc)5 -10 years Fire Protection Design and Installation (essential)Piping systems experience (essential)B.
