Job Summary:
Our Client is seeking a dynamic and skilled Exports Manager to join their team. As the Exports Manager you will oversee and manage all aspects of the companies export operations. This role involves developing and implementing export strategies, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and coordinating with various departments to optimise the export process.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Perform rates-checking
- Monitor and resolve any queries raised by the Brokerage team
- Complete files
- Attend operations meetings
- Ensure regular training is conducted with the team.
- Fortnightly sailing schedule updates.
- Month end closing.
- Tariff updates.
- Route costings / carrier rates.
- Flyers and customer communication.
- The duties and responsibilities as detailed above may change and evolve over time. You may therefore be expected to perform duties outside of this current scope from time to time and or on an adhoc basis.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Matric or similar NQF Level 4.
- Qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain an added advantage.
- Min 10 years relevant industry experience in:
- Air Freight exports
- Sea Freight exports
- People skills:
- Team Leadership abilities.
- Strong communications and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage relationship with customers, suppliers, fellow employees, and management.
- Teamwork orientated, proactive and meticulous.
- Knowledge of INCO terms are essential.
- Intermediate computer literally skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work in a pressurized environment.
- Hands-on individual with a strong work ethic.
- Extreme attention to detail and adherence to internal procedures
