Job Summary
This role is open to candidates who would like to relocate to Durban. Are you an experienced Product Head for Seafreight looking for a new challenge? Join a well-known brand that boasts a focus on employee well-being. Our client is on the hunt for a strategic individual who has experience managing oceanfreight on a national level and who has dealt with the African market. With more than 50 reports into this role, you will be traveling nationally and internationally to collaborate with Country Heads in growing the seafreight product. You will also have extremely strong operational experience with a strong financial background. A minimum of 10 years experience in Seafreight Head role within clearing and forwarding is a non-negotiable. An MBA is a non-negotiable for this role.
Responsibilities:
Optimize market share within the seafreight/oceanfreight product. Drive product with the Commercial team. Responsible for the Seafreight Budgeted Volume for South Africa. Responsible for the Seafreight Segment P&L. Responsible for the operational strategy and daily operations. Grow companys gross profit for the Seafreight product and achieve annual new business specifically focused on Seafreight products. Focus and support on Core Carriers for the Seafreight business based on the global Guidelines. Ensure Management Reporting is done as assigned.
