Job Summary

Requirements:

Qualified Marine Chief Engineer or similar Maritime Engineering Qualification. Grade 12 (Matric) 10 years experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of marine engineering systems and equipment. computer literate with basic Microsoft Office and Adobe tools. Previous training experience and exposure will be beneficial. Previous naval engineering (military) exposure and experience will be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

Conduct the training courses as per project training plan. Equipment/system subject matter expert, assisting both the training team and system integration team with inputs to the training material, technical manuals and ships system development. Ensure that the ships systems function to meet project specifications and class rules. Familiarize oneself with the project systems to assist and provide inputs into the development of the training material and technical manuals. This will enable the facilitator to be understand the required training outcomes. Assist and provide inputs into the development of the training assessments required for theoretical and practical assessments; these assessments will be used to assess the learners on completion of the training courses. Prepare and present the training courses law the project training plan using the finalized training material and technical manuals. Assist and provide inputs to the training coordinators with administration activities prior to, during and post training event. Equipment Training System Training Provide on-going On the Job training (OJT) Participate in the vessel commissioning. Perform other duties as assigned.
