Responsibilities:

Assist the Maintenance Manager in planning, organizing, and directing the maintenance activities of the lodge, including buildings, infrastructure, vehicles, and equipment. Conduct regular inspections of facilities, identifying maintenance needs, and coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance tasks. Supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective performance of duties. Assist in developing and implementing maintenance schedules and procedures to optimize operational efficiency and minimize downtime. Oversee the procurement of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained. Maintain records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and warranties. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards in all maintenance activities. Assist in the coordination of renovation and construction projects, liaising with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders as needed. Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize disruptions to lodge operations.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a hospitality or lodge environment. Strong knowledge of building systems, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance techniques. Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues. Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with staff, management, and external contractors. Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of quality and safety. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and to respond to maintenance emergencies outside of regular working hours. Valid driver`s license and the ability to operate maintenance equipment and vehicles.
