Responsibilities:
Assisting the Pastry Chef in preparing and presenting desserts, pastries, and baked goods according to lodge standards. Contributing to menu planning and development of new pastry items. Ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the pastry section. Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service. Adhering to health and safety standards in food preparation and storage.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or similar role in a fine dining restaurant or luxury hotel. Solid understanding of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment. Creative flair and ability to innovate within established guidelines. Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure. Team player with good communication skills. Culinary certification or diploma in pastry arts is preferred. Experience in a 5-star hotel or game lodge environment is advantageous.
