Job Summary

Requirements:

Proven experience in meat cutting and preparation, or a recognized NQF qualification in butchery.
Knowledge of different cuts of meat and their optimal uses.
Ability to operate butchery equipment safely and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and consistency in cuts.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
Flexibility to work on short notice and adapt to changing schedules.

Duties may include:

Cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products according to specifications.
Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in the butchery area.
Providing excellent customer service by assisting customers with meat selection and offering cooking tips.
Monitoring inventory levels and assisting with stock management.
Adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
