Job Summary
Requirements:
- Proven experience in meat cutting and preparation, or a recognized NQF qualification in butchery.
- Knowledge of different cuts of meat and their optimal uses.
- Ability to operate butchery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and consistency in cuts.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Flexibility to work on short notice and adapt to changing schedules.
Duties may include:
- Cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products according to specifications.
- Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in the butchery area.
- Providing excellent customer service by assisting customers with meat selection and offering cooking tips.
- Monitoring inventory levels and assisting with stock management.
- Adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
