Job Summary
Area : Modderfontein Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to join our team for a 2-month contract position. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, fitting, gluing, and installing PVC pipes according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work efficiently under time constraints. Key
Responsibilities:
Measure and cut PVC pipes to required lengths using hand and power tools. Fit pipes accurately in place to ensure proper alignment and configuration. Apply appropriate gluing techniques to secure PVC pipe joints. Install PVC pipes in residential, commercial, or industrial settings as per project specifications. Ensure all installations are completed in compliance with relevant codes and safety standards. Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to ensure project timelines and goals are met. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the installation process. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter, preferably with PVC piping. Proficient in using hand and power tools for cutting and fitting pipes. Knowledge of PVC gluing techniques and installation procedures. Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training or apprenticeship in plumbing or pipe fitting is a plus.
