Job Summary
A great mining company in Gauteng is seeking the expertise of a Chief Mine Planner to join their team.
Essential
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Degree in Engineering / Mining
- 5 – 7 years experience in mine planning across surface and underground mines
- Planning software such as Minex or Micromine
Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Validate ore reserve estimates with geological team and review geological data to ensure accuracy.
- Review long-term planning and scheduling and recommend optimal operatonal strategies.
- Develop mine plans to maximize productivity and safety and minimize costs for existing and proposed operations.
- Monitor grade control drill holes for accuracy and consistency.
- Utilize geotechnical and geological requirements to plan for underground plan activities.
- Generate 3D mine plans to ensure adequate access and ventilation to mining areas.
- Oversee the preparation of mining infrastructure, such as tunnels, access roads and foundation works
