Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project teams to engage clients and consultant teams effectively. Support projects during the tender process and as part of the solutions team. Develop local resources to strengthen the DC facility business. Promote and present Huawei DC solutions while managing client relationships. Compile bid High-Level Designs (HLD) for electrical systems and infrastructure components. Develop and maintain electrical infrastructure design-&-build RFPs. Summarize project costs, generate valuation models, and optimize project cost management. Manage external architectural and electrical design consultants. Provide comprehensive support for project management, subcontractor selection and management, and procurement. Required Competencies: Effective communication and persuasive presentation skills. Proven ability to work in teams and in a structured manner. Market analysis tools and basic finance knowledge. Proven marketing skills with commercial awareness. Advanced interpersonal skills and conflict management capabilities. Goal-oriented analysis and research skills. Experience working in diverse cultural settings and with varying technical understanding. Team-oriented leadership and management skills. Reliability, commitment, and resilience. Required Qualifications/Experience: Matric (Grade 12) qualification required. Degree in Engineering (Electrical) essential. Professional registration preferred. 5 years` electrical engineering experience, preferably in data center projects. 5 years` experience in a consulting engineering firm. 2 large-scale (1 megawatt or more) Data Center project design or build experience. In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering for building construction. Strong awareness of industry standards and emerging technologies related to Data Center facilities. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Revit, and industry-standard electrical modeling software. Experience working with MEP engineering consultants. Ability to think innovatively to find cost-effective solutions. Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standards across the Southern Africa region. Excellent communication skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and travel internationally as needed.
