Job Summary
Hire Resolve`s client in the Logistics Industry, is seeking the expertise of a Fleet Controller to join their team in Gauteng. The Fleet Controller is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a fleet of vehicles in the logistics industry. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate the daily activities of drivers and vehicles in the fleet
- Monitor driver performance and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Track vehicle locations and schedules using GPS systems and logistics software
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, and driver hours
- Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
- Implement safety protocols and regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Provide leadership and guidance to the fleet team to ensure smooth operations and high levels of customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- 3 + Years of proven experience in fleet management or logistics operations
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in logistics software and GPS tracking systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Valid driver`s license and clean driving record
- Bachelor`s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred)
- Knowledge of logistics operational procedures and documentation
