Responsibilities:

Financial Records Management: Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledgers and bank reconciliations. Ensure accuracy and completeness of reports and records. Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Budgeting and Analysis: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis. Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and external stakeholders. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as underwriters, claims, and operations, to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions. Provide financial advice and guidance to management, aiding in informed decision-making processes. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices. Ad-Hoc

Requirements:

Education: Bachelors degree is advantageous preferably in Accounting or related fields. Experience: 1 years of relevant experience within the financial sector. Completed SAIPA/SAICA Articles advantageous. Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of financial principles and practices. Experience with VAT is advantageous. High attention to detail and accuracy. Self-motivated and able to manage tasks and deadlines effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
