Job Summary
Key Responsibilities Design Support Assist in the development of interior design concepts and presentations. Create mood boards, sample boards, and presentation materials. Participate in client meetings to understand their needs and preferences. Drafting and Modeling Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and elevations using software such as Revit, Adobe Creative Suite. Develop 3D models and renderings to visualize design concepts. Material and Product Selection Research and source materials, furniture, fixtures, and finishes. Maintain a library of design resources and samples. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for material procurement. Project Coordination Support senior designers in project management tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and tracking progress. Assist in site measurements and documentation. Conduct site visits to assist with design implementation and ensure adherence to design specifications. Client Interaction Communicate effectively with clients to gather information and provide updates on project status. Prepare and present design proposals under the supervision of senior designers. Administrative Tasks Organize and maintain project files and documentation. Assist with preparing contracts, invoices, and other administrative documents. Handle general office duties and support the design team as needed. Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field. Experience: min 2 years of experience in interior design or a related field; internships or co-op experiences are highly valued. Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office. Design Skills: Strong design sense with a good eye for color, texture, and spatial planning. Technical Skills: Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organization: Strong organizational and time management abilities. Preferred Attributes Creative and eager to learn. Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Positive attitude and proactive approach to tasks. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Working Conditions Primarily office-based office hour mon – fri 8am – 5 pm with regular site visits. Some travel may be required for client meetings or project coordination.
