Job Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION INFORMATION: Job Title: Linux Systems Administrator (x2) Employment Type: Full time, On-site position Work Location: West Rand, Roodepoort – Johannesburg DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Build, improve and maintain clusters of blockchain daemons/consensus nodes in a scalable and highly redundant way. A mix of containerized and virtualized environments. LINUX administration – DEBIAN Based. WINDOWS Administration. Network Administration – SDWAN, VLAN, LAN, FIREWALL. CRM, HELPDESK and MAIL administration. Implement robust monitoring tools to control the stability blockchain infrastructure using Grafana and Prometheus. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Proficiency in management and maintenance of self-hosted infrastructure. Experience with running Docker containers. Strong passion for cryptocurrencies and the technology that underpins it. Ability to quickly learn new technologies. Advanced understanding of security principles and practices. Previous experience in interacting with blockchain nodes (i.e., Bitcoin, Ethereum) is an added advantage. Scripting Abilities BASH. LINUX experience. PACKAGE & REMUNERATION: Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
