Job Summary

General Areas Of Responsibility

Responsible for all technical aspects of a product/project from the conceptualization phase to implementation
Product development detail execution (Systems engineering role) on allocated products in conjunction with engineering team
Responsible for planning and coordination of project development, implementation and integration activities
Ensure all contract requirements are adhered to
Compilation of project schedules
Identification of project milestones, internally and according to contract
Identification of project risks and evaluation alternatives
Update project plan as project progress
Project progress reporting
Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors in terms of timely deliveries
Liaise with client in terms of project scope, progress and slippages
Administration of contracts, including the administration regarding permits

Management of project team and sub-ordinates

Uses good judgement and takes initiative

Qualifications And Experience

Degree: B Eng. or BSc Electronics Engineering
Minimum of 5 years experience in a development environment
+ 3 years specialized experience in a Hardware and software environment
Comprehensive knowledge of the System Engineering and Product Development process
Preference to experience in complex development / implementation of projects
