Job Summary
General Areas Of Responsibility
- Responsible for all technical aspects of a product/project from the conceptualization phase to implementation
- Product development detail execution (Systems engineering role) on allocated products in conjunction with engineering team
- Responsible for planning and coordination of project development, implementation and integration activities
- Ensure all contract requirements are adhered to
- Compilation of project schedules
- Identification of project milestones, internally and according to contract
- Identification of project risks and evaluation alternatives
- Update project plan as project progress
- Project progress reporting
- Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors in terms of timely deliveries
- Liaise with client in terms of project scope, progress and slippages
- Administration of contracts, including the administration regarding permits
Personal Attributes And Skills Required
- Good communication abilities
- Team player
- Good Time Management (estimating, scheduling, etc.)
- Management of project team and sub-ordinates
- Planning and organization abilities
- Uses good judgement and takes initiative
Qualifications And Experience
- Degree: B Eng. or BSc Electronics Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a development environment
- + 3 years specialized experience in a Hardware and software environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of the System Engineering and Product Development process
- Preference to experience in complex development / implementation of projects
