Job Summary
Hire Resolve`s client, a leading investment firm in Johannesburg, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join their team. As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of companies and evaluating investment opportunities. You will play a critical role in making informed investment decisions and managing the credit risk of the firm`s portfolio.
Your responsibilities will include analyzing financial statements, conducting industry research, assessing debt structures, and preparing detailed credit recommendations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial markets and investment analysis, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record in credit analysis and investments.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, and other relevant data to evaluate the creditworthiness of companies
- Conduct industry and market research to assess the risks and opportunities associated with investment opportunities
- Evaluate debt structures, covenants, and collateral to determine the appropriate credit ratings and terms
- Prepare detailed credit reports and investment memorandums with well-supported credit recommendations
- Monitor the credit portfolio and proactively identify potential credit risks or issues
- Collaborate with other teams within the firm, including the investment team, legal team, and risk management team
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact credit analysis and investment decisions
- Bachelor`s degree in Finance, , Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field
- Asset Management Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit analysis, investment analysis, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment analysis, and credit risk management
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proven track record in assessing creditworthiness and making investment recommendations
- Advanced proficiency in financial statement analysis and financial modeling
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
