Job Summary
The purpose of the position is to assist the Stock & Reconciliation Financial Manager to reconcile and manage financial risk relating to virtual stock and online integrations to both merchants and suppliers. This will include maintaining financial relationships with key merchants and suppliers and reconciling the transactions and settlements between the company and third parties. It will further include monitoring possible financial risk exposures with software integrations and escalating and mitigating these risks with the relevant stakeholders. The main Key Responsibility Areas are as follows: Exception management and resolution for daily reconciliations Managing the accounting for relevant processes o Preparing journals o Posting invoices o Monthly supplier reconciliations o Reconciling commissions o Management of customer and supplier relations Review, implement and maintain controls around ERP capturing to ensure accurate records. Review the commission processes on Debtor reconciliations. Stock reconciliation process: Control accounts vs General ledger accounts (AP, AR, Stock). Review Suppliers payments and monthly reconciliations. Reconcile inventory records per warehouse with the ERP system, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with inventory accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls to mitigate risks and safeguard assets. Clear review notes on reconciliations timeously. Ad-hoc projects as required. Competencies Logical thinking Problem solving Extensive knowledge of MS Office with emphasis on Excel and Outlook Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
