Job Summary
Requirements:
Registration as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in good standing with the SAICA, with extended IFRS knowledge. Five to 10 years experience in a senior financial role within the agricultural sector is crucial. Extensive knowledge and experience in financial, purchasing and risk management. Proven career history in the preparation and management of strategic plans, business plans and annual budget. The ability to implement internal systems and controls to ensure good financial management. Proven oversight and experience regarding technology and information systems. Person must be Afrikaans and English literate. The ideal candidate posseses the following: A proven record of success in the development and implementation of financial strategies that drive growth and profitability. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to translate financial data into executable insights. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships on all levels of the company. A strategic attitude with a passion for partnership with business leaders to achieve shared goals. Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to: Financial leadership and strategy: Establishing a partnership with the GCEO and leadership team to develop and execute long-term financial plans, operational efficiency as well as capital assignment strategies. To be a successful financial leader in this position, the person must demonstrate high ethical values and integrity at all times. Financial operations and reporting: Ensuring the accuracy, timeliness and transparency of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasts. Risk management and internal control measures: Providing the necessary guidance and driving the implementation as well as maintenance of a robust framework for risk management and internal control measures. Treasury and capital markets: Optimising our capital structure, managing liquidity and ensuring financing solutions. Aligning information technology with Company strategy: Drive and align the strategic direction of IT systems to support Companys strategic goals in order to ensure optimal support for the internal functions and operations, as well as the supply of data for informed decision-making. Business savvy and insights: Supply insightful analyses and recommendations to support business leaders throughout the company. Representation on various boards of subsidiaries and joint ventures: Serving as nominated director on the boards of various subsidiaries and joint ventures to drive and protect companys interests.
