Job Summary

Candidate requirements:

Matric
Degree / Diploma in Nature Conservation, Wildlife Management, Ecology or similar is preferable
Strong nature conservation knowledge: This includes understanding local fauna and flora, conservation laws, and principles of habitat management.
Must possess practical game farm management skills: This includes skills in animal husbandry, habitat restoration, monitoring wildlife, and implementing conservation strategies.
Must possess excellent physical fitness and be capable of performing tasks such as patrolling, animal capture and relocation and habitat maintenance.
Must possess technical skills such as operating vehicles and equipment, firearms, radio communication systems and GPS devices
Must possess excellent problem solving skills and the ability to think on their feet
Must exhibit a willingness to learn and true passion for conservation
Must be willing to work extremely hard and long hours and to get hands dirty
