Job Summary
Candidate requirements:
- Matric
- Degree / Diploma in Nature Conservation, Wildlife Management, Ecology or similar is preferable
- Strong nature conservation knowledge: This includes understanding local fauna and flora, conservation laws, and principles of habitat management.
- Must possess practical game farm management skills: This includes skills in animal husbandry, habitat restoration, monitoring wildlife, and implementing conservation strategies.
- Must possess excellent physical fitness and be capable of performing tasks such as patrolling, animal capture and relocation and habitat maintenance.
- Must possess technical skills such as operating vehicles and equipment, firearms, radio communication systems and GPS devices
- Must possess excellent problem solving skills and the ability to think on their feet
- Must exhibit a willingness to learn and true passion for conservation
- Must be willing to work extremely hard and long hours and to get hands dirty
