Job Summary
Our client currently has an opportunity for a Sustainable Development Manager to develop a long term sustainability strategy and ensure the successful implementation thereof, encompassing areas such as Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), Environment and Security, oversees and leads the SHE Department and is responsible for the planning, directing and coordinating programs and initiatives aimed at improving the Sustainable Developmental performance of the company. In order to integrate sustainability practices within the current business model, the Sustainable Development Manager will identify external and internal sustainability trends and detect potential risks and opportunities with the aim to assist our client to become a leader amongst its industry peers in corporate governance and sustainability and integrate SHE Strategic processes throughout the organisation.Overview of the Jobs Tasks:Develop and implement Sustainable Development strategies and programs.Monitor and evaluate the impact of Sustainable Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:Degree Hons / National Higher Diploma in Safety Management (NQF Level 7) and 8 to 10 years experience Training in:Incident investigationCOMSOC 1 & 2Risk Assessment Management or leadership qualification will be advantageousJob Dimensions/Metrics:Holds a statutory appointment in terms of Mines Health and Safety Act, regulation 7.2 9.
