Job Summary

Our client is searching for a Technical Tester to join their team in Pretoria East.

Job Purpose:
Responsible for testing and evaluating the software applications and systems.

Role

Responsibilities:

• Design and executive test plans on computer applications.
• Record and document results and compare them to expected results.
• Detect software failures for defects to be discovered and corrected.
• Generate historical analysis of test results.
• Document anomalies and issues.
• Assist in identifying database of software defects.
• Verify specific actions or functions of code.
• Operate and maintain test networks. Create meaningful error-handling procedures for application code.
• Ensure compliance with general programming best practices, accepted web standards and those standards set forth by upstream sources.

Preferred

Requirements:

• Software experience and knowledge
• Fundamental Software Testing qualification or similar qualification
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• A minimum of 3-years experience in a similar role
• 3+ years experience in MS Office, especially Excel (Advance)
• REST APIs and basic SQL experience (at least 2 to 3 years experience with these technologies).
