Job Summary
Description:
Hire Resolve`s client, a leading mining company based in Gauteng is currently seeking an experienced Senior Resource Geologist. As a Senior Resource Geologist, your primary responsibility will be to conduct resource evaluations, develop geological models, and provide technical support to the mining operations.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, estimate, and manage mineral resources.
- Conduct geological modeling and resource estimation.
- Interpret geological data and create 3D models of ore bodies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards like the SAMREC code.
- Oversee and manage data collection from drilling, sampling, and surveys.
- Analyze and interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical data.
- Prepare and review technical reports on resource estimates.
- Lead geological exploration projects, including planning and budgeting.
Requirements:
- BSc Hons Degree in Geology
- 5 years` experience (post-graduation) in resource geology
- Strong proficiency in geological modeling software such as Datamine and Leapfrog
- Geological Modelling and Geological Estimation experience
- Registered with SACNASP
