Job Summary

Materials Stores Supervisor

Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking a dynamic and organized Materials Stores Supervisor to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and expediting the movement of raw materials between departments to ensure a smooth flow of operations. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Requirements:

Education:

Diploma or bachelors degree in Logistics/Supply chain or related field

Excellent Computer literacy in excel & Accpac will be added advantage

Skills and Knowledge:

General stock management knowledge

Familiarity with work procedures

High level of accuracy with figures

Team management

Key

Responsibilities:

Raw Materials coordination:

Manage and expedite the flow of materials between departments.

Supervise the receiving and storage processes.

Oversee the issue process.

Collaborate with production, planning, and procurement departments to address stock shortages.

Develop and maintain an orderly and accessible inventory storage system.

Implement and manage bin management systems and create storage spaces.

Provide leadership to the team- train, mentor, and supervise store personnel

Manage the performance of the stores team.

Ensure general housekeeping of work area, cleanliness, safety, and security in the store.

Execution of document management processes i.e. accurate filing and compliance.

Conducting supplier evaluation as and when required.

Manage mass checklists, lab sampling dockets, transfers, invoices, and consignment deliveries.

Update spreadsheets with monthly deliveries.

Adjust stock accurately and capture deliveries.

Create movement reports for usage.

Balance stock and send reports to suppliers.

Process and adjust consignment invoices.

Manage finance documentation.

Coordinate and manage pre-checks for stock.

Ensure the stock take process is conducted accurately.

Investigate variances and ensure a clean stock take.
