Job Summary

Together with our client, we are recruiting for a Medical Receptionist to join a Medical Center based in Modderfontein. The ideal candidate needs to have min 3 – 5 years of experience in Medical Practice as a Receptionist/Administrator.

Duties:

• Answering all calls professionally.
• Patients:
  • Welcome
  • Check that patient info is correct and current.
  • Open new patient files.
  • Receive payments and issuing receipts.
  • Check and inform patients of outstanding monies & receiving payments thereof.
  • Discovery HealthID
• Patient bookings.
• Charge sheet:
  • Daily recon
  • Split charge sheets Datamed / Mariaan
  • Daily forwarding management consult charge sheets to Mariaan
• Recon of card / cash payments daily / weekly.
• Emails:
  • Arriving early to download and respond to emails.
  • Download emails frequently.
• Filing:
  • Files
  • Test results / reports after signed off by the doctors.
• Specialist authorization
• Stock control & Ordering:
  • Patient files
  • Script pads
  • Sick notes
• Address Datamed queries promptly.
• Ensure that all injury on duty documents are duly completed before submitting it to Datamed and the relevant company.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and communicate effectively.

Qualifications:

• The minimum qualification required for this job is a matric (Grade 12).
• Additional: Drivers Licence and own vehiclebeneficial

Experience:

• 3-5 years relevant role experience with specific experience in:
• Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
• Experience working with a Medical Practice Program n.a. Datamed

Working Hours:

• Monday Friday: 08:00 17:00
• Every 2nd Saturday: 08:00 11:00
• Public Holidays/Sundays: Closed

Remuneration:

• R 10 000.00 R 14 000.00 CTC per month depending on experience
