Job Summary

Qualifications: Matric Certificate with Mathematics; and Relevant diploma or degree Job

Requirements:

Minimum five (5) years Super-User experience: configuration; integration management and user support; Three (3) – Five (5) years Human Resource or Payroll system experience; Access Control and Time Attendance applications experience advantageous; System Support experience advantageous; Kronos system experience will be advantageous; Basic understanding of SQL language advantageous; Knowledge and experience of system testing methodology; and Training facilitation experience Key responsibilities: Participates within a team to contribute towards the teams objectives; Follows and applies the ITIL methodology; Conducts and documents system, functional and scenario testing of development; Conducts root cause analysis and uses judgement and prior learnings to identify the issue and propose the best solution; Ensures quality assurance methodology is followed; Adheres to the Software Development Life Cycle; Provides project guidance and support for the development of new functionality and business rules within the system. Assists in the implementation and communication plans; Develops plans and leads Operations in the testing and implementation of system upgrades and modifications. Works with the HRIS team and systems vendors to identify and implement pgrades. Ensures modifications and upgrades are successfully tested before implementation in the live environment. Reports systems issues to systems vendors and works with vendors to resolve the issues. Documents processes and results; Utilises standard reporting tools to write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries. Assists in the development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs; Maintains data integrity in systems by running queries and analysing data; Develops and documents workflow processes to create efficiency in the operation of HR Information Systems. Works with the HRIS team to implement complex workflow processes; Plans and provides or arranges training for Operations using Human Resource Information Systems. This includes initial training for new users, training on new processes, or training for groups on specific functionality. Develops user procedures, guidelines and documentation; Analyses the effectiveness and usage of initiatives; Innovates by keeping up to date and abreast with the technological world, new products and IT industry challenges; Demonstrates the ability to interact with business stakeholders and users, to gain consensus, build relationships to maintain user confidence; Gathers requirements by conducting and following the business analysis process and documenting these requirements; Ensures the applications comply with legislation and business rules; Determines the requirements for an enhanced system or a new system; Analyses trends, patterns and processes to facilitate a proactive approach to managing applications; Shows a continual improvement mindset by analysing and innovating in all areas of responsibility; Management of 3rd parties to ensure business delivery timeline and requirements are met; Delivers timeous and effective support by investigating and resolving application errors, data discrepancies and queries; Ensures system integrations are automated where possible and are seamless; Ensures the system is accessible; Manages and maintains security; Ensures the system is user-friendly, reliable and consistent; Participates in and manages projects as and when required; Facilitates and participates in meetings; and Participate in industry user groups and forums.
