Job Summary

To correctly set up the Assembly Tools, Jigs, Machinery & Equipment in accordance with process instructions in order that the correct quality & quantity of products can be produced.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures access to and familiarity with all Policies and Procedures applicable to the job
• Receive tasks/duties from the Shift Technician and or Process Engineer
• Obtain the correct process instructions for the job to be performed
• Set-up the Assembly Jigs & Fixtures/Machinery & Equipment as per the process instructions and adjust the necessary to ensure acceptable quality and quantity production
• Ensure set-ups and line changes are carried out with minimum interruption of production and maximum attention to minimizing set-up/line-change times
• Check the operation on a regular basis during the production cycle and ensure that required quality and quantity (cycle times) are maintained
• Check all unused tools, Jigs and Fixtures for damage and ensure same are stored in correct locations
• Maintain high standard of housekeeping & safe working practices at all times.
• To ensure that all activities within my area of responsibilities are performed in compliance with the Company Policies and Procedures, and legislation with specific emphasis on Health, Safety, and Environmental aspects.
• Undertake the safe & efficient installation of all new mechanical and electrical equipment, plant & machinery as directed.
• Prompt and efficient attendance to all breakdowns & stoppages due to electrical /mechanical failure or fault.
• Conduct inspections & preventative maintenance of all electrical/mechanical equipment, plant and machinery as directed
• Performance of shift, overtime (subject to legislated constraints) & stand – by duties in accordance with departmental rosters or as directed by Management.
• Undertake any other task, projects or duties as allocated by Management from time to time.

Requirements:

• Electrical, Mechatronics or Millwright qualifications, robotic programming, Hotplate Welding, Vibration Welding, Ultrasonic Welding and assembly knowledge will be advantageous.
• Minimum Qualification: Electrical/Mechatronic/Millwright qualifications
• Robotic Programming
• Hotplate, Vibration and Ultrasonic Welding
• Assembly environment knowledge and experience advantageous
