Job Summary
Our client in Upington, Northern Cape is currently recruiting a Test Engineer/Mechanical Test Engineer or Automotive Technician for a 12-month contract. The job entails the inspection of vehicles and vehicle parts according to set procedures to detect and assess damage caused by climatic elements and the reporting of such findings. JOB REQUIREMENTS 5 years automotive technical experience. Must be computer literate. Must have a B. Eng or ND Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification. Assemble and disassembly vehicle and vehicle components and carryout inspections. Be adaptable and able to perform duties in a small and specialised team. Will be tasked with various maintenance duties on site. Will be tasked with various maintenance duties on site. Have experience with electronic equipment such as data loggers, thermocouples, and thermal cameras- advantage. Conduct detailed inspections, analyse failures, and recommend solutions. NB: our client IS NOT LOOKING for a diesel mechanic with yellow goods experience. Must reside in or around the Upington area.
