Responsibilities:

Assist the General Manager in daily lodge operations and strategic planning. Oversee departments such as guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and activities. Ensure high standards of guest satisfaction, service delivery, and guest relations. Manage and support lodge staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations. Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain food and beverage standards. Implement and maintain operational procedures, policies, and standards. Monitor lodge financial performance and budgetary adherence. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and morale among staff. Act as General Manager in their absence and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a senior management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a game lodge or luxury resort setting. Strong leadership and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Knowledge of lodge operations, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and activities. Understanding of financial management and budgeting. Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Experience in wildlife conservation and/or eco-tourism is advantageous. Flexible schedule and ability to work long hours as needed.
