Job Summary
Description
Hire Resolve is currently looking for a proactive and experienced Construction Pr Safety Officer to join a leading construction company in the Western Cape. As a Pr Safety Officer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health and safety standards on construction sites. You will conduct regular inspections, provide safety training, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards
- Provide safety training and education to employees and subcontractors
- Investigate accidents and incidents, and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations and standards
- Maintain safety records and documentation
Requirements
- A diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field is often preferred.
- Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) certification.
- Registration with professional bodies such as the South African Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (SAIOSH) or the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH).
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and standards
- Relevant safety certifications or qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
