Job Summary
Description:
Hire Resolve`s client, a leading mining company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Resident Engineer to join their team in the Western Cape (Fixed Term – 2 years). The Project Resident Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the construction and maintenance of mining infrastructure and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all engineering activities related to the project, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Oversee the construction and maintenance of mining infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project team members, including engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that may arise.
- Prepare regular progress reports and updates for project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to project requirements and specifications.
- Manage and control project costs, ensuring effective budget management.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, reports, and correspondence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor`s degree in Engineering (Mining, or related field).
- GCC Mines & Works
- 10 years` experience in the Mining Industry.
- Must hold a 2.13.1 or 2.13.3.1 currently.
- SAMTRAC will be advantageous.
- Valid driver`s license
