Job Summary
Hire Resolve is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Mining Foreman to join our esteemed client in the mining industry. As a Mining Foreman with them, you`ll be instrumental in overseeing and coordinating extraction operations, ensuring smooth workflow and maximizing resource use. Your responsibilities will encompass maintaining plant efficiency, upholding stringent safety and quality standards, and providing technical guidance to the team.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12)
- Good English skills
- Valid drivers license
- Knowledge of relevant laws
- Understanding of opencast mining methods
- Certified at Competent level A
- Experience with dewatering practices and managing pumping teams
- Bonus: Opencast Blasting Certificate
- Bonus: Engineering qualifications
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years relevant supervisory experience
- Experience in a coal mining environment is advantageous
Competencies
- Physically fit and capable of passing a medical/fitness test
- Must have a clear criminal record and be willing to undergo a criminal check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and thrive under pressure
- Proficient in operating earthmoving machinery
- Self-motivated and capable of meeting targets/deadlines
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee the production process
- Optimize plant utilization and availability
- Enforce compliance with safety and quality policies, procedures, and standards
- Coordinate shift line-ups and handovers
- Manage pit dewatering strategies
- Provide technical supervision
