Job Summary
Description:
Hire Resolve`s client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mine Planner to join their dynamic mining team in Gauteng. As a Senior Mine Planner, you will be responsible for designing and implementing strategic and operational mine plans, ensuring the efficient and safe extraction of minerals.
Responsibilities:
- Create and optimize short-term and medium-term mine plans
- Ensure Zero Harm culture through compliance with SHE policies, standards, and governance.
- Lead by example in SHE standards and operational campaigns.
- Conduct regular safety and operational inspections with prompt remediation.
- Define team roles to maintain effective performance.
- Coach Front Line Leaders (FLL) on safety management and task execution.
- Develop rolling plans with stakeholders to align with business goals.
- Schedule resources for mining activities to meet targets.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- BSc Degree in Mining Engineering, or related field
- Mine Overseers Certificate of Competency
- 5 years` experience in short/medium-term mine planning.
- 2 years` production experience in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of mine planning software (Swik Suite, Syncromine etc.)
- Valid Drivers` License
