Job Summary
Job Title: Senior Mine Planner – Mining
Location: Kwazulu-Natal
Hire Resolve`s Leading Mining Client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mine Planner to join our mining team in Kwazulu-Natal. As a Senior Mine Planner, you will be responsible for developing and implementing mine plans that ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction of minerals from our mining operations.
Key
Responsibilities:
– Develop short-term and long-term mine plans in accordance with safety, environmental, and production requirements
– analyze and interpret geological data to inform mine planning decisions
– work closely with mining engineers, geologists, and other stakeholders to optimize mine plans
– monitor and adjust mine plans in response to changing conditions and requirements
– ensure compliance with all relevant mining regulations and standards
– provide technical expertise and guidance to junior mine planners and other team members
– contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation in mine planning processes
– maintain accurate records and documentation related to mine planning activities
Qualifications
– Honours degree or higher in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
– Proven experience (5+ years) in underground mine planning, with a background in geological modelling in mining operations.
– Proficiency in geological modelling software (Minex, preferred).
– Strong knowledge of mine planning software (RPM Global – UGCS preferred).
